I make strange faces while I knit. I learned this recently. Has anybody else come across this phenomenon? The phenomenon of trying to grab a stitch or k3tog or do a cable over 8 stitches on 7s using Malabrigo and suddenly, the brows are furrowed, the tongue is either hanging out or being bitten, and the cheeks are sucked way in?
Or, it's this:
Eyebrows up, tongue bitten between teeth, grimace. Granted, I was just teaching myself stranded knitting, and there was a lot going on. English (?) style in my right hand! Continental (?) style in my left hand! Tension! Gague! Five DPNs! Two cakes of Malabrigo!!
And this face-making isn't a new phenomenon for me, evidently, as I found this today while going through While going through the pictures today on my hard drive, I came across this taken this summer:
Same face. This one has a bit more tongue-out action, but still. Same concept. You get the picture.
In other news, today was my birthday. St. Patrick's day is a marvelous birthday. Some of the best gifts I got this year included a beautiful day, calls from old friends (the farthest one away was South Korea!), dinner at my advisor's house, and Noro sock yarn in one of the red-blue-purple-orange colorways (S180??).
Truly, I am a blessed individual. Funny faces or no.
