Hi, Bud!

Knitting mojo? Not so much. A couple of things have preoccupied me for the past bit of time.

1. Lying on the couch, moaning. Yes, I've gotten the spring flu that is sweeping the Northeast faster than a new dance craze. That being said, it was almost nice to be able to snooze away a week without guilt and with only a moderate amount of feeling like I should be doing something--anything--more productive. Also, I got caught up on Lord of the Rings documentaries, The Sound of Music, and the latest in spring cough syrup trends.

2. Watching spring happen. it's been gorgeous the past few days. Gorgeous. Sunny, high sixties/seventies and things are bursting into bloom. A week ago, there were only two crocuses in my back yard but now there's a whole row of them and the snow is officially gone.

Hope

And this, this is what hope looks like. This winter has been so hard for me, with all the snow, cold, and mental instability, that I've been drinking in the signs that spring is coming. And the number one sign is things budding.
